Roof Cleaning
Keeping your roof cleaned and well maintained on a regular basis is vital to the life of your roof. The buildup of algae on roof tiles, shingles etc. will drastically shorten the life span of that roof as much as 50%, so if you expect that new roof to last for 30 years, read your warranty, it will likely state that it is only valid with correct care and maintenance of the roof.
The Process
First, we will do a walk around with you if you are on site during the clean and identify any issues or concerns with you. Next, we will verify the estimate and that you are happy with the plan, then we will get to it. Ideally, we would like to stay OFF your roof, mainly to avoid any weak spots that may be present. Usually, we can clean a roof from a ladder or on most occasions from the ground with our powerful wash equipment. We will only use a gentle jet of chemical activated solution so as not to displace or damage any roofing tiles. All plants in the area of any runoff are monitored and protected as much as possible. Once the chemical has had chance to its work, we will rinse it off and then give any sensitive areas a good rinsing to get rid of any chemical over run.
If you want your gutters cleaning out at the same time let us know before we arrive or on the day and receive a 50% discount on the gutter cleaning. The offer is not valid after we leave the jobsite. Also note we can only clean roofs that have gutters due to runoff, we don't want runoff all over your home exterior.
